From Michigan to Florida
Here I am in Florida with bj (who is treating me like a king, by the way!) after having spent two amazing weeks in Wisconsin with Diedra. But being back in Florida makes me want to share my first time in Florida with you. Right now! :)
You know I missed SNOW in Massachusetts - and missed it again when I arrived in Michigan to be with Regina. Well, snow wasn't on our minds when I learned I was going to go on vacation with Regina and her family. We were to head south to Florida!
So, come on along with me on my Florida vacation. (Then I'll tell you a little of what's going on here in Florida this second visit). As this week rolls along, I'll take you back to those glory days in Wisconsin too! As you see, lots for me to show and tell you!
Journal Entry for Feb 18, 2006
My, that sounds official, doesn't it? Just like a real journaler .. er .. journalist .. er .. bear writing stuff! :) Even have a pic to share.
This morning we were up early, packed the car and headed down the road to Florida. I think I heard someone say it was 1167 miles to our destination. It's pretty boring in the car. I watched a couple movies, listened to the radio and watched trees go by as we traveled through Ohio.
In Kentucky I saw cows, horses, more trees, and some beautiful hills. We played some games, and napped. After a long day of driving we stopped in Tennessee just outside of Georgia for the night. It's still pretty cold outside. I thought it would be getting warmer by now!

Say, that didn't feel so strange to write this second time! :)
What are they crazy? We can't sleep in this morning? It's 6:00 am! We stopped at a Waffle House for breakfast. Nice people out in the early morning hours. "On the Road Again" is what should have played on the radio next. It's cold and dark outside. I sure hope it warms up.
It's 1:00 and we hit Florida. Hurray! it's getting warmer. We stopped at the welcome center so I could get a picture. The kids were too tired and excited to sit with me, they just wanted to get to Disneyworld. Palm trees and white roads for another hour or more and we will be there.
DISNEYWORLD I'm Here. Time to check in, unpack, and check out the area. Wow there's some big characters around here.
Love to all, Heri-POH
PS - Next up? I'll share my Disneyworld adventures with you. :)
